CELL
Criminological and Experimental Legal psychology Lab (CELL) is a research lab mainly based at the Leuven Institute of Criminology in Leuven, (Belgium), and partly at the Forensic Psychology Section at Maastricht University in Maastricht (the Netherlands). Our research aims to examine the role of memory, biases, and decision-making in the legal domain.

VISION

CELL has an open, vibrant and collaborative culture. As a research group, we value the principles of Open Science and we adhere to issues such as transparency in material and data sharing and preregistering our studies.

SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY
Members of our group are often involved in expert witness work. In these cases, we look at the reliability of testimonies and write a report for the court. Furthermore, we also provide students, legal professionals, and the general public with several workshops, including how to interview children with alleged experience of trauma.
